What connects an Irish sailor with an alpine farmer? Or a park ranger in the American prairie with a hut keeper from Allgäu? The Upper Allgäu folk duo Blanz & Hecking provides the musical answer. Their shared love for Irish music brought them together and continues to unite them. With Western guitars and banjos, they create a sound that, on the one hand, resonates with the prairie and vastness, while on the other hand, expresses a strong rootedness in their alpine homeland.
